This place is a busy tourist restaurant in the middle of Ocean Blvd in South Beach... but the 5 stars is all about the value of the meal and the quality that you get. A weekday lunch value with a drink... I always get the grilled skirt steak. It's consistently good, especially for the money. The drinks are very good and the price of the lunch makes it 5 full stars. Ask if they don't offer....

Terrible service. I just had lunch there with my wife. The waitress forgot / ignored us completely. Probably because we chose an item from the lunch menu. Gratuity was 18% already charged beforehand. If I were to choose it would be 10% maximum. Should have checked yelp before stopping by.

Food is mediocre for the price we paid! Pasta side ok. Salad so-so. Be careful with the Chef Specials that they offer. They look very nice in the picture but beware of the prices! The Seafood Platter is $164.00!!! Not to mention the fact that the valet parking is $25.00! I strongly dont recommend this restaurant. Miami is a very metropolitan and diverse city in which you can choose much more better restaurants at a more affordable price. Specially in seafood.

This was another stop on my Miami Sunday day long date. Needless to say this stop was not planned and it was a grave mistake on our part. We just wanted to grab a quick cocktail before heading over to brunch at Federal Food Drink & Provisions (See my review of that place too!) and the oversized drinks the restaurants have on Sundays seemed like just the right move. Service: D- I really hate to say this but our waitress didn't speak English well enough. We attempted to order a Kettle One Bloody Mary but she couldn't understand even when we tried to make it simple for her to ask a colleague. We settled for Grey Goose because that was all she knew. She wasn't particularly attentive and we saw the busser and another server more than we saw her. Unfortunately, when we asked those folks for help they also seemed to suffer language barrier issues and attitude problems. Drinks: F The Pineapple Margarita and "Grey Goose" Bloody Mary were pretty atrocious. As a bartender I'm forgiving but this was unforgivable. The margarita was somewhat salvageable with a handful of limes squeezed in and an additional shot of Patron ordered. The bloody mary was NOT Grey Goose even though they upcharged us for it. An additional shot of Goose, pepper and limes couldn't save it. Neither drink was finished. The bill for these 4 items was over $80. All I can say is this place will screw you like clearance, self-assembly ikea furniture. ^Pardon my lame analogy I'm not as witty as I'd like to be this morning, but I cannot stress enough DON'T BOTHER.

A great location but the food and environment were lacking. First the food and drinks are VERY expensive- $20 for a stein of beer and $25 for a margarita. A bill for 2 people with 2 entrees and 2 drinks was $130. The lobster ravioli was very good but the seafood linguine was mediocre at best with over-cooked, tough seafood and malodorous mussels. As for the atmosphere, it was very uncomfortable as they do not utilize misting fans like most other outdoor restaurants on ocean drive. Service was average.

We spent one night in South Beach waiting to leave for vacation. As we were walking down the drive, we stopped here because of the loud music. We had come in for a couple drinks and to share a couple appetizers. We ordered 2 long islands and didn't realize that fish bowl was the only size available. Server kept pushing the entrees for two but we told him that we just wanted a couple of appetizers to share; he informed us that he had a sampler platter for 2 and we thought that sounded nice. Next thing we know, we have a PLATTER of FRIED foods, the only one on the actual menu was the calamari which was so chewy it was uneatable. Then a large portion of fries, wings, moss sticks and fried shrimp with only 3 small dipping sauces. This was enough for a party of ten and we definitely didn't want all the fried items, that weren't even listed on the menu. We then got out bill to realize each drink was $25 and the fried platter was $55. We didn't enjoy being spun into the giant tourist trap and given a vat of fried crap. We just wanted a couple drinks and apps and to be on our way. To top it all off, towards the end of our 'meal', I was hit in the head by a flying check book. Apparently another customer had had a similar experience, threw money on the table and then through the check carrier in the air which nailed me in the temple before sliding onto the floor. All the staff said was ' he was angry about his bill"....seriously?? not even an apology. Stay AWAY

  • Erman K.

Biggest crook in Miami! Do NOT even think about stopping here! Be careful about chef's special surf & turf, they're charging $300 with no price on the menu.

  • Kay T.

Mediocre at best!!! Would never return. Over priced the Alfredo was thee worst paste I've ever tasted!! Will never return and my friend ordered meatballs... Gross Too bad the entertainment was not on a plate they were the best thing ever and the service was good but the food was GROSS

    (1)
  • Brian Y.

First off this place is very deceiving they pull you in with there dinner specials. But what they fail to do is tell you how much these items cost since there isn't a price anywhere on the dinner specials menu. They also add items to the order that really raises the price and when you question why the food was so expensive they just say sorry and there's nothing that they can do about that. The seafood paella had a very fishy taste and it wasn't even that good. The fried calamari was just ok. Service was very slow and the waiter was very hard to find. Took over 20 minutes to get the check. Also the waiter kept pushing for the dinner special after it made sense why he did that once you receive the bill. I don't recommend this place at all for anyone that is just visiting. Price was very ridiculous and it was definitely a tourist trap with very ridiculous high prices. They also charge an automatic 18% gratuity which is ridiculous for terrible service and all right food.

Go elsewhere Go elsewhere Actually go to Miami subs grill And get a gyro platter If you like rude and hustling and want to back hand the host come here. Food is bogus no flavor and the fish is not fresh Clams were only thing I will give a star for but leaving upset and hungry isn't cool especially paying the price we payed but hey it's Miami F THIS PLACE go eat elsewhere

    (1)
  • Abel G.

Worst place ever, dont come here !!!! Just aweful the server from new york rude attitude , just wanted to ask something from the menu why they charged me 30$ more and the menu was tricky !! DONT COME THERE

    (1)
  • Lindsey R.

So gross! Don't waste your money. The seafood was so fishy and the service took forever. It was $109 for sparkling water, crab legs, and a caprese salad. The biggest waste of money on food I have ever spent not to mention almost instantaneously getting sick.

    (1)
  • Angelina J.

I honestly have a hard time even putting one star to this review due to the fact that this was the worst food I've had for the the amount of money spent. My family and I had been pulled in by the people they had on the street who basically talk you into eating there shoving menus in your face. We sit down to eat and my parents had decided to ordered the surf and turf which as I recall was $55 dollars on the menu. When the check came it totaled $211 for JUST the surf and turf, I had tried to get an explanation as to why just that plate was 3x what it had said on the menu and the response was "well since it was split we had to add extra shrimp and lobster" which we had not even asked for. Not to mention while eating flies were EVERYWHERE around our food. Our experience was absolutely terrible. I do not recommend this scam for anyone.

    (1)
  • LaDarian D.

Dunno how this place has 2.5 stars. The drinks are great! The service was of Rock Star quality (definitely if you had Mohamed). The carpaccio & reggiano were perfect. The caprese was fantastic & the crab legs we steamed to perfection. We loved this place the most of all the restaurants on Ocean Dr. we visited. The band & belly dancer were excellent too.

    (5)
  • Ash L.

The food is like any other pasta place. However, the price is WAYYY overpriced. For just two people we ordered cheapest bottle of wine ($38) and one appetizer and one entree shared came out to $385!! It's outrageous ans wasn't even THAT good for it to be that pricey

    (1)
  • Evelyn B.

This place is a scam! They try and lure you in with two "free" drinks and meals for $9.95..but what you don't realize is that you get charged for your drinks @25 bucks a piece! For a bland meal that is not worth your time or money. Horrible place! DO NOT GO!!!

    (1)
  • Bren R.

We had beef carpaccio for an appetizer and the portion was really small and did not have a good flavor. We ordered two bloody mary's and they were pretty big but was very bland. We had to ask for olives, horseradish, and tabasco to give it some flavor. When we got the bill it was $50.00 for two bloody mary's and they added 18% gratuity! Will never go back! There are much better restaurants near by!

    (1)
  • Ilayda K.

Highly disappointed how they are trying to rip off tourist. They exactly lie about prices and increase portions without even asking / explaining to you. Go to other restaurants. Not worth to give a chance.

  • Richard C.

Looked to just valet park and find a restaurant to eat at. Their host that attracts customers convinced us with free valet, shots and incredible food. Fell for it and so did my expectations. Food and service was mediocre and plates and utensils were dirty. When it was time to go, it took over 30 minutes to get our vehicle back and they refused to credit valet. No stars deserved. Avoid this dump.

  • Yun P.

Food was decent, ambiance great for people watching. They are crooks, they pretend food is cheap but their drinks are ridiculous. They say two free glasses of wine. So I assume can i substitute for beer instead? I asked but I don't think they understood english. No. $8 x 2 for beer? I didn't complain but I thought that was ... Do not double tip. They do that a lot in miami. But i guess c'est la vie. I don't think i had a waiter???? I don't usually fuss over $$ but i just wanted to have a fast lunch before a nice dinner. $60 was a lot for quesadilla, salad and 2 beer.

    (2)
  • Cody C.

Definitely one of those typical south beach restaurants that tries to pull in tourists off the street. The food was decent, we played it safe and just ordered some calamari and mahi mahi. They were a bit overpriced, but to be fair it's south beach, everything's overpriced! If you're looking for a dinner that will blow you away, I would go elsewhere but if you just want to grab a drink and a few appetizers it's a decent option.

    (2)
  • Michael S.

There are a million places to dine on ocean drive. Half are probably Italian. Having said that - Mia Bella Roma is outstanding. We used a groupon on a whim and they came through. Fish gnocchi and chocolate cake for desert and life was great! Sidewalk people watching is always fun too. Try it and love it.

    (5)
  • Jens L.

Avoid! The food is overpriced for what it is. The waiter had charged his tip surrealist to the bill. Make sure you don't pay to much. Won't see me again! Fact!

    (1)
  • Cody C.

Don't order of the "specials" menu. They don't tell you that the paella is $105 and the seafood platter is $210. The service is sub par and the quality of food doesn't justify $800 for 7 people. 2.5 stars was generous. Steer clear.

    (1)
  • Al V.

Double check your check and make sure you don't tip twice . Food was just OK at best . However service a different story . We had an Italian waitress that told me her family owned the place and while the service was ok we had to run and I handed my CC . Card was charged and I did not receive the check , just my CC slips . I left 20% tip in top without knowing that the service was included . She saw the check and did not mentioned or say anything . After I finished my emergency I took a look at my CC slip and saw that $360 was a bit much for three people . I called was told that the service was already included once . I am leaving the "double tip" and I am taking this route . If she was indeed part of the family than owns the place than lets see how long she can survive stealing from customers .

With a big group of folks who wanted to eat on Ocean Drive and I didn't consult Yelp or there would be no way I would have eaten here. Mediocre at best and way over-priced!! The service was excellent. I got a Greek salad ($14$ because I didn't want the "house" salad and it ok, but not worth $14!! My chicken piccata was barely recognizable as such. Don't go there - keep walking, you'll find a better restaurant. Or better yet, let Yelp help you!!

  • Thomas C.

These people are absolutely dishonest. The staff will cheat, lie and throw false offers at you to lure you in. I have never ever felt so cheated eating anywhere. This one is the worst. Best to audio record their offers at the door, so you have a better chance at arguing for the price and deals they agreed upon when you see your bill. Definitely overpriced and shady too. They offered free bottle of wine and 25% discount, so we decided to go in. Business practice and service was absolutely terrible. My group was offered a paella at 45 for 2 people. We were a group of 10, so we ordered 4 and got other things too. The dish came with 2 lobster which is what we thought it normally comes with since its the same as the picture in the menu and we could only believe that it was price the host offered at the door. The bill came to 84 for that dish each. They just threw on the extra lobster without asking. Like we didn't ask for the extra nor did you tell us the extra charges. Then I asked how much the paella was and the host who offered us the 45 per dish said 54, fifty four, like what. and our waitress said we gave you and extra lobster so its 84. And our discount was not 25%. They only offered us bottled water when tap water was clearly a choice. Again extra charges. They will open it and pour it and say too bad you drank it. The food is only decent at best. Lobster was pretty rubbery. Portions were good. The location is great. Skip this place. Its just troubling...

sitting here right now... still waiting for my check. after 20 mins of no one even stopping by the table. we are literally the only table in the courtyard area. staff is passing by, but haven't seen my server in a while. breakfast food is ok. nothing to rave about. best thing is the cool outdoor space & location.

    (2)
  • Celeste P.

I've never felt so cheated by a restaurant before. They basically lied to get you in the restaurant, and then charge you triple of what the food is worth. We ordered the seafood paella and they told us it was 46 dollars. And when the bill came it was 84 dollars. Apparently two lobster tails are extra charge, but they didn't ask us whether we wanted an extra lobster tail. When we brought it up, they told us when it was "shared" it costs more. Of course, this wasn't mentioned either. Never come to this place, they'll rip you off in any way they can.

    (1)
  • Celeste H.

Decent food, if overpriced, but what makes this place special is extremely predatory billing practices. They charge for still water - WITHOUT mentioning that tap water is available. They double the prices of some foods (the paella in particular) when they add - again WITHOUT asking - whether you'd like an extra lobster tail. The guy heckling and offering discounts on the street is trying to fuck you over, and the servers know it and are left to deal with the consequences. Eat here at your own risk. That said: they offer free Wifi. Which I'm using to write this shitty review.

Truly a horrible experience! Staff stole my purse (caught on camera) horrible food. Stay away!

  • Anna M.

The worst place I ever been. I ordered the ceviche I eat it and shortly after all I start vomiting then ran to the restroom, right before the restroom the other girl was vomiting too. I let the manager know but he refused to even try it to see if something wrong with it. So..... To make the story short will never come back to this place again and will not recommend to anyone else. THIS PLACE IS SuCKS!!!!!!!!!!!

    (1)
  • Jon L.

It's shocking to see how this place is still in business seeing how dishonest and shameful its practice is. The host would promise all kinds of reasonable discounts for a large group to lure you in. When the bill finally comes, the waitress would put the blame on the host for misguiding the customers and retract the deals. It's pretty classic really, but we never expected that to happen in a city like this. I strongly encourage anyone to think twice after listening to the "promotions and deals" that the employees tell you. The food was presented nicely, but it doesn't taste as great as it looks.

    (1)
  • Benjamin K.

This restaurants runs a pretty clever scam. The guy in front lures you in by telling you you'll get fantastic deals eating here, getting large percentages off the meal, buy 1 get 1 free drinks. But it's all a lie and they'll gouge you for everything you're worth. Hidden charges for meals that magically double in price and drink deals that suddenly require you to get 2 for every single person rather than just 2 in general. Avoid this place at all costs, lest you let them gouge your wallet for the price of a 4 star meal whole serving you the equivalent of some shit from McDonald's.

    (1)
  • Richard S.

Feeling slightly ripped off. Had a fishbowl of strawberry daiquiri. The guy hooked us in on an offer of $25 fishbowl cocktails. We hadn't realised there were two sizes... so by the time tax and tips were added, it was $50. However the drink was very nice and we had to go back to the hotel for a sleep afterwards, feeling just a bit tipsy!

  • Elizabeth J.

Incredible Location on the beach. Ummmmm --that's about it. Service: was deathly slow. We ordered drinks and then waited for close to 30 minutes for them. Come on??? It's happy hour and I need a drink!!!! Finally we got up and asked where they were and the waitress said they ran out of glasses. Drinks: huge, the size of your head, but loaded with sugar. I think there was alcohol in there but hard to tell. I'd keep rolling by this place.

  • Khalid A.

Very nice food in a great location ... Friendly staff I wish they could be busier :( I order the smoked salmon with bagel, it was great with big piece of salmon ... Keep it going Roma :)

    (5)
  • Mark J.

Feel ripped off, tourist trap, obviously not interested in repeat business. Avoid the hard sell and walk to the next option. "Discount" offers are deceptive: 3 shrimp in seafood salad, for example.

Terrible food. Over priced. Service adequate. Atmosphere nice. Food was cold and overcooked. Don't go here. Not worth it at all. Bill was over $300 for 4 people. Prob worth $100.

    (1)
  • Jim G.

Not even the atmosphere can make up for the TERRIBLE food they served! My sixteen year old is not that picky of an eater. So...when she says...."oh wow!!!! that is terrible! It tastes like they opened a can of crappy soup and put it in the microwave."......one can assume...its pretty bad. And it was. She ordered the fettuccine Alfredo. I ordered the beef ravioli.....which they did not have (it was on the menu).....so....I had to go with the lobster ravioli. Honestly....NEVER have I been served to completely uneatable plates of garbage. The Alfredo was delivered cold.....the sauce was runny.....and tasted like it came from a can. The ravioli was tough....and OBVIOUSLY processed....not home made as they claim. No kidding....a can of ravioli....any brand.....would have easily surpassed the crap that was brought to the table. Factor in the INSANE prices....and the MANDATORY 18% gratuity.....and you have a lunch for two.....$120. Yes...I complained....all I got was "I am so sorry". Clearly no intent to remedy a thing. I paid the bill just so we could get the hell out of there. I see several 5 star ratings. I am going to have to call BS on those. No way. They had to be written by friends, family, owners, or employees. Avoid this place!!!!

We had an OK experience here, the food was good, and the view to Ocean Drive was nice from where we were sitting. A live act, a trio played and sang and really boosted the athmosphere. The waiter was very knowledgable, and picked out a very good red wine for us. On the negative side, the waiter was a little slow in the beginning, and he constantly ignored my girlfriend and only talked to me. She got a little offended by this. Very unnecessary. The place is a little pricey, but overall, OK.

first thing's first, do not come here for the food our first night in Florida we headed down to South Beach, parked, and walked around here ad there we passed by this restaurant with a live entertainment section, a flamenco dancer, and guitar player overall it looked nice so we planned to return the next night we came by and sat down, ordered a calzone and one of those giant fish bowl margaritas basically my two stars goes for the entertainment, one for the dancer one for the atmosphere/overall feel the margarita was okay, nothing special, but $30 holy crap the calzone was absolute crap, for $20 i'd rather fold over a little caesars pizza called it little calzones it also sucks they automatically add 18% gratuity when there really is no point to it, mostly that is used when you have so many in a party (we had 2) but oh well would not return

ATTENTION DONT COME HERE!I went to florida for vacation in orlando for disney and universal studios so we decided to hit the beaches in Miami so we went to Miami and we were looking for a RESTRAUNT as we were walking we saw 8 restraints next to each other and the restraints had all women telling us to come to the restaurant so we were like forget it. So we walked pass bye and we like lets go back . So we look at this huge menu and this ladie comes right up and tells us to eat here at this restraunt . So we do. We sit down and it he table only had 4 seats and we were a family of 5 and it made me mad how she just got a seat and I had to sit uncomfortable so we order our stuff we get cheese burgers and the chicken somthing and the chicken cheese qasididla and my dad has a struggle of what to get but he usually loved sea food so the ladie gets this random thing that's supposed to have sea food she doesn't even tell us what's in it so it made us mad. But anyway we got 3 Cokes 1ice tea and 1 sparkling water. It takes her so long to get our drinks wich made us mad . So we take a sip and it taste bad! The coke had no taste and was 50 percent water and the rest coke and it looked like a light color . But anyway thats not all it took them so long to get the food! They also looked like they were cheating U like the ladie was like persuading my sister who is like 6 to order this and that and all this stuff . Then we get the food so long later and the cheese burger had no taste like the meat was all burned and had a burnt taste and I vommited without anyone or my family know ing. Sad thing was I had to swallow to vomit so the waitress didn't notice . So the sea food my dad got was $50 for just 50% rice and like 4 pieces of small shrimp , 6 clams that were 4 inches long but had like a crumb of meat! And then the chicken my little sister got was chicken breaded that was super thin and hard and small and had noo taste! But the cheese qasididla with chicken was a whole joke and lie there was no chicken and just chese on a soft taco also sad thing was that there were2 inch borders of just nothing around the whole thing . We all were DISAPPONTED especially how we spent 50 dollars just for rice and 2 small shrimp which was supposed to have tons of sea food! DONT EVER COME HERE ESPECIALLY IF U R TOURIST THEY WILL rip U off! LOCAL PEOPLE PROB DONT GO THERE BUT ANYWAY I WOULD RATHER GO TO MCDONALDS MANAGED MY KIM JUN UN! ALSO THE LADIE LOOKED LIKE SHE WAS STEALING OUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION WE GAVE HER 3 different Cards and it looked like she was scamming us . ALSO REMEMBER THERES already a 18% tip they already put in! Don't get fooled bye these foolish waitress and crappy stuff! DONT COME HERE GO TO MCDONALDS ! DONT COME HERE !!!

A warm haven from a cold night...our server, Amaru, was effluent in his attention paid to us. Pizzas were yummy and drinks were delish. Amaru also corralled a cigar girl for our table which was above and beyond just taking our order. Love this place!

    (4)
  • Lindsay S.

My second time in sobe so I was already aware of the high prices and 18% gratuity tacked onto our bills. With that said, I know that the servers know they don't actually have to work for a tip. Here, I think they earn it. Service was great. We stopped for drinks on our first night, which led to an appetizer. ..and a $60 dollar bill. That was 4 drinks (which were made pretty damn strong) and calamari. With tip.... you can do the math on that one. Hey, it's South Beach, remember? They had live music that included a very attractive young couple doing some Spanish dancing. We actually enjoyed the environment so much we came back a few hours later and had dinner. Dinner was so-so but the service and atmosphere were good enough to make up for the high priced food we had consumed! (Plus the drinks were strong enough to make me care a helluva lot less).

Forget about it go somewhere else. Ordered the snapper waiter told us it was fried, did not mention that was deep-fried, big difference unbelievable. My wife wanted rice instead of potatoes she got both the rice had a cream sauce in it, he didn't mention that either. Then she asked if he could suggest a sauce for the snapper, his suggestion was olive oil, unbelievable! I ordered the chicken Parmesan. I have never had it without pasta noodles before maybe that's a Chicago thing I don't know? and like another review said they add 18% onto your check I didn't give any extra.

  • Rula R.

I visited this place before I even check on yelp and see the reviews. The service was super friendly, then server have us 3 free deserts after chatting with him for a little. I got the seafood salad and it was so rich with flavor and seafood! Not to mention the relaxing live music.

  • Alexi C.

I had the chicken parmigiana, it was good but came with mashed potatoes, 2 asparagus stalks and 1 piece of broccoli, I was expecting spaghetti but that's ok. The chicken had way too much cheese melted on it but was a big piece of chicken. Waiter was a little rude at first but got a little nicer, I think because I was still very nice and said please and thank you. Usually I say it's the customer not the service but I am very easily pleased and felt as though I wasn't of much importance because I was eating alone and drinking water. Also, it was expensive for what I got. $25

  • Kiron M.

This place is popular because of it's great location on Ocean Drive and the wonderful live flamenco music and dancing (that's the only reason it gets two stars instead of one). We had been seated at a great table to watch (which we had asked for), but then got asked to move bc someone else had "reserved" it (who then sat with his back to the music and dancing the whole time!) It's definitely not for the food. My friend got the carbonara which was actually quite flavorful. I got the lobster and pasta special. The lobster was ok, the pasta was nothing great and bland. We asked for bread which was stale focaccia. We were going to order the chianti, but the waiter talked us into the house montepulciano (I've had better, especially for 46/bottle). I'm done with Ocean Drive restaurants for this trip, better to find good food elsewhere off the strip!

  • H K.

Unfortunately, I have been there my first time in 17 years of being residence of Miami. I had nothing but my guests had several drinks and Pizza. Incredibly expensive but not only that. THE WAITER who served our table is a THIEF. WATCH OUT. The bill was 172.53 and my friend put down 2 of a $100.00 bill in front of everyone and the waiter took the receipt spindle and went away for about a minute and came back with 2 $10.00 in between the receipt spindle and said that my friend have only given 2 of those $10.00 bill. Nice trick right? Unfortunately, not to create any problem and seen that the issue was not going to resolve we all had to put our hands on our pockets and pay the bill again. Gone in 60 seconds.

    (1)
  • Ram V.

Huge rip off. $50 for two bland drinks! They were large but not worth it... Especially since there was no warning that we would be ordering a drink that could easily feed 3-4... Prices not listed on the menu, total scam from start to finish!!

  • Omar D.

Stay the fuck away from this place is the worst service we've ever had in our lives you got this little shaved head foreign guy. On PMS that must be fighting with his boyfriend or something but this service was horrible never got the food we want and by the time we got it it was cold it was a freaking bug in my pasta.... Will complain to management they basically said tough luck you pay half price now for that bug infested food.

  • Vanessa V.

The hostess almost convinced my husband and I to go in. She told us the chef was from Italy (not that we cared but we were having a nice conversation with her) so my husband asked for his name. She didn't know so she asked someone who seemed to be a manager. She asked him for the name of the chef and with all attitude he responded he didn't have time for jokes and walked away. Thanks to him this place lost two customers.

So many things were wrong with our dinner at this place... Aside from the food, which was a standard Italian style restaurant (and quite expensive), the service was TERRIBLE! The waiters were busy with a larger group and basically neglected our table the entire evening. We had to continually ask for water, which was forgotten several times, bread was only given upon our request, and the waiters were incredibly slow to bring us our checks or honor the 20% of for the happy hour special. I will not ever return back to a place with such slow and awful service. The waiter was rude when we asked him about the discount, and said that he was busy with the other table. They should have had separate wait staff for the large group. Very dissatisfied all in all!

I was here with my family- 10 of us- and it was wonderful. They were so nice to my dad who walks with a cane for assistance. We spent a rainy afternoon drinking and eating. Our waitress was one of the best I've ever had! Will make a point of going again when in FL!

Keep walking when you see this place!! Live music brings you in to such subpar food ever on the strip.. No effort in making the food, tasteless in all pasta dishes, over use of lemon killed the Salmon... $250.00 down the drain,

I would rather eat at an Olive Garden managed by Kim Jong-un. 1) My Old-Fashioned tasted like pine tar. I asked the waiter to bring me a Makers on the rocks. The waiter brought me the exact same cocktail with what tasted like orange juice poured in. 2) There was a large projector showing Shakira music videos. Extremely loudly. The sub-woofer was conveniently located near my head. Yes, an ITALIAN restaurant was blasting Colombian pop music. You can see the connection there. 3) The menu prices would make Bernie Madoff cum in his pants 4) A girl in our party reported that the womens restroom had no soap. So I am assuming the employees were washing their hands with my tears. Additionally, my friend reported that the sink was leaking badly. Maybe I am a jaded New Yorker. Maybe I have a deep, uncontrollable hatred for Shakira's music. Maybe I just dont understand the appeal of a sit-down Italian restaurant that serves frozen Margharitas like a Chilis. So much to ponder........who am I!!!????

Food is very average but very expensive for what you get, but the flamengo show is great! Food is 2 stars, live music is 5! If u can get by just a drink, and enjoy the show, do that. Show is definately great but wouldn't come back for food

I had such a wonderful experience here. This was about the 20th restaurant I'd walked past along the beach and was so sick of seeing the same, boring vegetarian options offered elsewhere (pizza, pasta, salad). Mia Bella Roma had interesting vegetarian options clearly marked on the menu, including vegan items, which were beautiful, delicious, and interesting, such as the fried baby artichokes with mint, roasted red pepper salad and balsamic reduction. The service was incredible. The various servers and the many who I presume to be a manager were all so incredibly friendly, thoughtful, and helpful. They gave me a table right at the front so I had a perfect view of the beach. I can't wait to go back!

Shitty weak drinks. Shady waiters who either don't know what they are doing or are outright lying about it. Zero stars is a more accurate rating.

Two stars because customer service. Otherwise one. Alfredo pasta undercooked. Not al dente. Sent it back and they brought back the same food. Pasta was pretty dry and pretty hard. Service very, very slow.

Wish I would of skipped this place. I love Italian food so I thought if try it, I ordered fettuccine Alfredo small portion for$18 and the sauce tasted like they warmed it up from a jar. Also ordered a margarita pizza, it was a pretty good size but the only thing on it was cheese..... Drink prices are ridiculous . They def aren't competing with others for happy hour a mojito less than 12oz was $15!!!! Every other hotel around is advertising 36oz for $15. Only plus was our waiter was extremely nice and kept checking in on us

  • Camarie N.

Yuck. There was nothing i'd order again. Hard bread (how do you screw that up), watery sauces, nothing was fresh, this place is obviously relying on their location and hoping people get so drunk they don't care about the food.

  • Holly M.

Ambience was nice with live music. BUT the meal was NOT worth the price!! Waiter pushed only the most expensive options on the menu. And food was subpar for the price. We were told fish would have no bones; however it was full of bones and the waiter claimed this was the 1st time he'd seen it that way. He also brought out and charged us for an additional drink that we did not order. Definitely would NOT recommend!

Decent food for a reasonable price. Take on consideration that anything in South Beach is ridiculously overpriced, so with that in mind I'd say Mia Bella Roma is at least fair. The food is not fantastic, but the ambience is really good. We saw a Spanish dancing live performance with really nice music.

Stopped in late on a Sunday night before closing for drinks and an appetizer. Ordered a medium Caipirinha and my husband had a beer. We also ordered calamari to nibble on. PROS: The drink was delicious and quite big for a medium. The highlight of our visit was our server who was from Argentina. He was super friendly and was not afraid to strike up a conversation. My husband was impressed with his expert knowledge on all-things-soccer. CONS: Calamari was a tad salty and we were sitting in a chair that was not shielded by the rain so by the time I left my back was quite wet.

Passed by this place earlier today and the atmosphere seemed lively. Came back for the live show, missed it, and ordered a Bahama Mama. The drink was made strong and was pretty good. Wish I would have not missed the live entertainment while enjoying my drink.

We really enjoyed our experience largely because of the live music. The food is merely adequate in comparison to the price. Their automatic gratuity policy is a bit frustrating though our server was very attentive. The giant $45 margarita we had was not very good but we really enjoyed the music.

Tripadvisor has them rated in the bottom quartile of Miami Beach restaurants. Thats about right. Very average food at high prices. The only redeeming factor is the Ocean Drive location.

ABSOLUTELY AWFUL I was down in the South Beach area for vacation with a couple of my girlfriends. We had been on Ocean drive the day before and saw all the restaurants with their specials for the huge drinks. So we planned to revisit the restaurants the day after. Once we got to Ocean Dr. we walked for quite a bit. All the restaurants had pretty good 'specials" but we stopped at Mia Bella Roma (honestly because we were tired of walking and the woman at the front basically picked us up and sat us down). Our server came to us within the next couple minutes with menus. Of course the prices weren't even listed on the menu. All three of us decided to get drinks in the 36oz cups. We all got frozen drinks (peach margarita, kiwi margarita, tropical fruit daiquiri) , however once they came out they were already halfway melted! As we all took our first sip, it was pretty hard to swallow. I don't know about you but Margaritas have tequila in them, and i have no idea what kind of alcohol was in mine. The only drink that was decent was my friend's Tropical fruit daiquiri. After drinking only a third of my drink, I began to get a headache and feel extremely nauseous (and I was no where near drunk!). We decided to get the bill. Being in SoBe we assumed that the drinks were going to be pretty pricey. but $30 for one drink?? A little ridiculous for a disgusting drink made with extremely cheap alcohol. Our bill came out to around $80 with gratuity INCLUDED. This place is a tourist trap. There are other places with better drinks and specials for the price that we paid. What a ripoff.

The worst dining experience ever! We got hooked on $22 lobster and pasta special. After we sat, it took a while to order our drinks, but then forever to get them. The waitress came back to take the food order only when we got our drinks. I asked of I can have to pasta with pink sauce. She said they are out of pink sauce. Are you kidding me? How an Italian restaurant can be out of pink sauce?! Then it means u do not have white and red, or just too lazy to make one. We got the food faster than drinks. Second round took forever, too. They dropped off the food and ran away. No cheese, no bread. We had to go to the hostess and ask for cheese. She was the only one in the restaurant who seemed to care. The food tasted horrible. Lobster had minimal meat in it, and pasta was absolutely basic, no flavor. Never got bread. Had to flag the server down to get the check. She brought us the wrong check and with 18% gratuity, then ran away. We had to go back to the hostess, and manager came over. Told him about our horrible experience. He apologized, said he will give us the correct check and will take off automatic gratuity. Needless to say, the check came wrong again and still with the gratuity. Had to have another interaction with the server. Everyone was blaming it on each other. What a great teamwork! We went to use the bathroom. There were boxes and other mess we had to pass by in the narrow corridor on the way to the bathroom. It seemed so cluttered. No toilet paper in the bathroom. Perfect representation of what's going on in the back of the house, that's how the front of the house is, too... Ran away and don't walk in here! Ocean Dr really need to step it up...

Why five stars? We stayed at the tides next door for about 700/night and the food was microwaved, late and cold. We ate at some other old favorites and the current economy has everyplace baiting and switching an generally treating people as though they will never return so they'd better get what they can now, which is exactly what happens. This place was inconsistent, but when good was very very good. As expensive as anyplace anywhere, including Michelin starred meals, so beware, but when the chef did well an w got a good server and avoided the pushy manager and shills out front, it was a welcome respite from the ocean drive crush. They have a nice courtyard where you can still enjoy the view and music without feeling you are under the big top, and the pasta seafood combos an spaghetti and meatballs and salads were great. Granted we learned to ask for extra effort in food preparation and to thank the chef personally, so I would have to say the negative reviews are probably accurate but a good experience is quite possible as well.

The service was horrible. The guy should really adjust his attitude if he thinks he's going to get any tips. This place has like to parts to it. There is a restaurant and a gelato spot attached to it. I'm only speaking about the gelato spot. I only got a cupcake from there and it was about $10. This was around 9-10 pm and the cupcake was dry. The frosting was good. I really wanted something sweet and I stopped in for just that. I assumed it was good because of the prices.

I'm actually sitting at the restaurant as I write this. I ordered the coconut shrimp, mini meatballs, fried calamari and fettucini bolognese. The server told us how delicious the coconut shrimp was, then came back to tell us it wasn't available. Hmm.. The meatballs were good as was the calamari. The fettucine was so overcooked and the bolognese so bland I added a dash of salt and pepper to each bite to get it down. I can't even finish the food... It's just not worth the calories. Check please! Oh yea, our server needs a lesson on hospitality if he wants to stay in this business. The restaurant charges an 18% gratuity so maybe he felt like he could be a douche and still earn the full 18%. I was under the impression that you tip depending on quality of service. If I had a choice, I would've tipped 15% and that would've been me being generous.

We've had two meals here at This restaurant in less than a week. The live music is very entertaining and has a fun atmosphere. We had an amazing seafood platter, the price was $110 for two and was full of an assortment of seafood!

0/5 stars. Do not drink here for their "Happy Hour" I dropped by with a few girlfriends early afternoon. We were on the hunt for large margaritas on the strip and we chose this place due to its attractive "BUY ONE GET 1 FREE" deal. We got 3 margaritas..paid for 2. Bill came out to be $78 with gratuity included. I was on vacation and I expected to dish out a lot of cash but 3 disgusting drinks for nearly $80 was just too much. I don't know what type of alcohol they put in it but the taste of this overwhelming mystery alcohol was too strong. I usually yelp the crap out of places before even entering an establishment but unfortunately didn't have the time to do so before entering this tourist trap. I wish I could say "Save your money and go to ____" and offer an alternative suggestion but I'm pretty sure that all the restaurants are overpriced on Ocean Ave. I almost wanted to warn the people who showed a bit of interest in dining here as I was sitting at my table or post a sign up on each end of the restaurant saying "BEWARE" ...To sum things up, the only thing this place has working for them are their large fans with mist blowing in their customers faces...

Don't let the location fool you. We could have dealt with the extreme attitude of the waiter if the food would have owned up the high prices but was far from that. In short the food was bland not offering any flavor at all and very over priced. The $12 side caesar was coated in mayonnaise, the $16 lobster bisque had the appearance of beef broth. We had a party of 7 and not one enjoyed their dining experience. Having Flamanco dancers at an Italian restaurant should have been a red flag on our part.

Avoid this place. There are far more reasonably-priced options 2 blocks away on Washington Ave. We had 2 salads, some flatbread with tomato/cheese topping, and a total of 3 (small) glasses of wine--two for me, one for the wife. After they tacked on an 18% percent gratuity, we left burned out of $91 dollars. The Caesar Salad had no anchovies...the food was uninspiring, tepid. This place is a major rip-off.

I don't care what anyone says, Mia Bella Roma, is alright in my book. I went there for the first time on a night out with my friends and had great service, and the food was amazing, add a flamenco guitarist and sexy flamenco dancer, and you're guaranteed a delightful time. This is a good place to take the kids on ocean beach, the staff were very accommodating to my friend and were stroller full of twins. Nothing but good times.

We decided to visit Ocean's drive at one of the nights that we were in the beautiful South beach Miami, we walked there for a while looking for a good place to eat as well as a place that has a TV so I can watch the eastern conference basketball final where the Miami Heat were playing, and after being stopped by at least 20 different hosts on that street to come in and eat, which was kinda annoying sometimes we saw this restaurant that has Italian and Mediterranean food, Moreover they have a band of 3 people 2 guys and a girl that were singing and dancing salsa, it was kinda entertaining for us + they have a TV, we went in and the server was not good he was Awesome, we really liked him as he gave us lots of advises and recommendations about the food as well as South Beach in general, he gave us the famous garlic bread with olive oil and vinegar for free, he gave us his favorite food and we went with it, we picked Tuna Tartar, it was ridiculously good, moreover we picked the sea food cheese ravioli that was also great. It is a bit pricey but it is a great place to eat, also the prices of the restaurants on Ocean's drive is a rip off with false advertisement, be careful, But this place people are honest and clear.

We actually went here for drinks three times this week. The drinks were excellent, the food is mediocre. The reason for the one star review is when we came in on a special the third time, when the check came the waiter refused to honor it. We asked for the manager and showed him the verbiage of the printed special offer. He agreed with what it said but claimed it was a mistake and refused to honor it. He went so far as to blame us and was extremely rude. I will never go back and have never seen a manager behave so unprofessional. I would advise other customers to be very cautious of their special offers, it is bait and switch and they will not honor them. That is just not right

    (1)
  • Andrea Y.

The food was decent yet overpriced, as I assume most on Ocean Drive are. Poor service and I was surprised that an 18% gratuity had been pre-added for a party of two. I am not sure if this is common practice in this area?

    (2)
  • Meenah L.

My girlfriends and I ate lunch here during our trip to Sobe. I had the grilled snapper which was quite bland and I had to resuscitate it with some Tabasco sauce .lol. However, our waitress (Sarah) totally made the meal!!! She was attentive, patient and even brought us four shots of 'sex on the beach' while we waited for our drinks. Would I go back again? Erm, not really for the food but for the service, I would!

  • DeShaun C.

Unsure of where to eat, my friend and I weaved through numerous calls of "Drink specials, seafood, happy hour" and ended up going here. We were quickly seated, which was a plus I had the Chicken Saltimbocca, which ended up being pretty delicious, if not a tiny bit too salty (probably the prosciutto). The wait for this was also relatively short, and I had a pineapple mojito to keep me company while I waited. About that mojito? It was really good. Not overly strong, but it had a very fresh taste. There's nothing like getting a mojito that is packed with fresh limes, fresh pineapple, mint leaves, and a tall stalk of sugarcane. I ended up having two, since it was two for one drinks. The prices aren't so bad, but that could be because I'm from New York and these prices are normal there. As is the norm for quite a few places out here, gratuity is included in the bill, but can be adjusted as you see fit. You might think that because of this "guaranteed" gratuity, that the servers here would slack, but they didn't. Our server was attentive, made small talk, and was friendly overall. When she accidentally dropped our second round of drinks, people were there to clean it up so fast, you'd think it was toxic waste that spilled. This place is worth a stop. Oh, there was live music, which I'm a fan of, even though I heard Bamboleo WAY more than I needed to. Dear musicians of Ocean Drive, Bamboleo sounds good once. Not so much after 5 times...crap, I'm listening to it now. Look what you did!

One of the few places on Ocean Drive that serve food late at night (past 1 AM). The prices for some of the dishes were outrageous (but that is probably the South Beach/Ocean Drive standard, so I should have expected that). My friend and I weren't too hungry, so we split the homemade fettucine with mushrooms and peas and a light cream sauce. It was ok but still more expensive than it should be. I ordered a house Montepulciano wine that took 15 minutes to get, and it was a bit too oxidized for my taste. The service was quite slow, but maybe because it was so late at night?

The iced tea to start the meal smelled like dirty dishwater and our whole table agreed (in disgust). The waiter and manager didn't even an offer a real apology... So who knows what else is old & moldy in the kitchen.

Is Mia Bella Roma a typical tourist trap ? From an insider source i know that if you don' t ask the price of the special dishes they will charge you over 30% on the regular price. But don' t worry as the owners complain they pay a high rent so they have to screw everybody, including their staff, to make good money!

This has to be the worst spot in Miami beach. I'm sitting here now waiting for the check and I'm beyond disappointed. Looks are deceiving! Prices are irrelevant to the quality of the food. Disgusting. Pasta is hard, meatballs are frozen and everything else is cold.

Went here for lunch last Monday. I love how every place on Ocean Dr. tries to do the bait and switch on you meaning they lure you in with drink and food specials and then hand you a menu with no food specials anywhere on it. I had to ask our server repeatedly if they had a listing of the lunch specials that were posted on the big board in the front. For the food, we ordered Cesar salads and fried calamari to start. The salads seemed like they had been sitting for a little and they had too much dressing. The calamari could have used a little more seasoning and a little less breading. My friends got the veal parm panini and the Italian panini. Both were sufficient. I ordered the grilled calamari salad. It was in a very light vinaigrette, but the calamari was overcooked and a little tough. The server could have been a little more attentive, but this is a given since gratuity is added to the check already. I'm just going to start avoiding Ocean Dr restaurants from now on since it is never really an enjoyable experience.

After scoping the strip we decided to dine here because of the live band that was most entertaining but at the same time not as loud and rowdy as the other establishments. Our server was this tall thin gentleman who did an exceptional job in tending to us. The food was absolutely delicious. My father had the rib eye steak with mushroom sauce done medium and was completely satisfied with his selection. My daughters had the rib eye steak done well and penna alla vodka while my husband and I had the chef special, seafood paella. The food was satisfying. Even the bread that they brought out at the beginning of the meal was delicious. It had a little kick to it and was well seasoned with lots of herbs which made it flavorful and aromatic. The price is a bit steep. I would definitely come back often if it was less expensive. The food and live entertainment was something I will never forget.

THIS RESTAURANT IS A BIG BIG SCAM!! Mila M., the waitress, she nicely replaced a cheese in our salad with burrata, which was extra $10....of course without any warning about the price change.... then she offered a great mix grill fish dish, without mentioning the price again... we were in a great tourist spirit, so we had no idea what kind if scam that all is.... the bill was $198, three person, 1 salad, mix grill fish and 2 margaritas.....

I am loathed to write such a scathing review but I feel obligated to after my experience here. The food was average. Not horrible but nothing fantastic. The food was consistent with diner food. Our waitress was fairly slow but we didn't mind as much as we were having fun. The problem started when the check came. The waitress we had told us the drinks were 2 for 1. She never told us it was 2 for 1 PER PERSON. We assumed it was 2 drinks for one meaning if I got a drink, my friend gets hers for free as we went to another place for breakfast around the corner who had such an offer. Anyway, they charged us for all the drinks and when we informed then they charged us incorrectly, they then explained their offer! We told our waitress she never told us but she insisted she did. She called the manager who supported his waitress and informed us it was impossible that his waitress didn't tell us as he trained her! Never did the waitress offer us our so-called "free drink" which I would expect a good waitress to do. The manager ultimately refused to give us $22 off our check for the drinks. The experience left us feeling like this was a scam. My advice is to always clarify what the specials mean as each place may be slightly different. Oh, and avoid this place!

Nice italian restaurant in the Ocean Drive strip...I had a risotto ai frutti di mare, it was good, nothing excellent, the carpaccio is good...they have a happy hour offer till 1am with 2 drinks (Margarita, Mojito, Daiquiri) for $15... Prices increase (some about the double) from noon to the evening...if you want some good but not excellent italian food, chek it out!:)

Hands down, the worst restaurant I have ever beeno to. Anyone who says otherwise has only dined at fast food restaurants. I think I could have received faster service from a turtle than this place. It took 15 minutes to get a waitress to our table. Another 30 minutes to get oour martini. 40 minutes to get waters (that I ordered immediately upon sitting down). It was about anan hour after sitting down that the waitress dropped our appetizer and then another 30 minutes after finishing the appetizer before we got our meal. I ordered my 2nd drink while eating the appetizer, and recieved it after I had finished my main course, despite asking for it multiple times. And as if the sservice wasn't bad enough, the food was terrible too. Ive hahad better Italian food out of a can than this place. The gnocchi was so overcooked it resembled the texture of rice pudding more so than gnocchi. Save yourself a high priced meal and just take $150 and go to subway and order a meatball sub.......its just as authentic.

Visiting Miami for the first time, we drifted into the downtown area after the awesome Everglades. Looking for a decent place to sit and have a drink or two, we were attracted to some live Flamenco music and were quickly hustled into the bar by people, who I assumed were employed by the bar, offering us decent rates on the drinks(11$, expensive?). We ordered 4 drinks and an appetizer(bruschetta). The drinks were ok but the bruschetta(11$) came in a large plate with exactly 4 pieces spaced apart. Horrible presentation and really shabby service. It was a turning out to be a bad experience but we stuck around for the music. Unfortunately, the real surprise was the bill. A cool 100$ for 4 drinks and a crappy appetizer. They charged us around 20$ for each drink. People who talked about 11$ drinks were nowhere to be seen. And, on top of that they had the gall to add 20% gratuity automatically. I am usually very tolerant of bad service and very generous with tips. But I felt robbed after going to this place. There is a difference between bad service and cheating. Just avoid the place.

On our second visit here, we again enjoyed the food, the service, and espeacially the entertainment, again, the flamenco group Ole Ole, whose lead guitar and songwriter, Luis, is a rare talent on Spanish guitar (whom I saw play in Miami Beach many years earlier, at the former Mezzanotte). Though the restaurant serves meat, fish and other dishes like paella, pizza seems to be their specialty; try the Pizza del Quattro Stagione!

  • Gus S.

We decided to come here for the drink specials but came back for the great food. One bite of their bruschetta and we were hooked. The staff was attentive and service was fast. My girlfriend was impressed to find out, in italian, that the manager and chef are both Italian. It doesn't get more authentic in south beach. We'll be heading back again tomorrow.

Food was so so, service was dispecable! I had to re order 3 times till I got the right plate. Server didn't acknowledge any issues that were going on. Asked for manager three times as well (I'm not joking) and he said he is the boss of the place and that I should talk to him. I couldn't have been more polite and patient considering all the mess ups. This restaurant left a very poor taste in my mouth. What makes this most upsetting is they didn't do a single thing to acknowledge the amount of mistakes that happened throughout the meal (the ordering 3 times was 1 of maybe 5 things that went wrong) I guess that's what you get for eating on Ocean Drive.

The servers were nice and somewhat attentive. They had live music and a dancer who obnoxiously kept doing some kind of tap dancing. They gave little french bread dinner rolls in a basket and some garlic flavored olive oil which was really good. I ordered the fettucini alfredo, a friend ordered a stuffed ravioli type of thing with tomatoes, and my sister ordered the pizza margherita. We were all curious so shared with each other. Fettucini alfredo with chicken: $15 for just pasta; add chicken for another $4 and change. I should've just gotten it without the chicken because the chicken tasted like it was taken right out of the freezer, thawed quickly, and fried without being marinated. It was bland, tasteless and dare I say gross. As for the pasta's flavor... it was okay. Olive Garden's version of this is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy better and flavorful. Was it worth it? No. Stuffed beef ravioli (can't remember the name properly): Around $18. Gave about 6 ravioli's on a bed of tomatoes which tasted really good. Since this dish was really small, she finished first and the funny part is... she's not that fast of an eater. Soo it's thattt small. Was it worth it? Not really... but it was better than the fettucini alfredo. Pizza margherita: $13. It's like a new york style thin crust pizza with a little bit of tomato sauce and a nice layer of cheese. This pizza was pretty good and quite big for one person to finish. Was it worth it? Eh, I guess... Yeah, I know the stuff is pricey because it is obviously on Ocean Drive. It was a bit cheaper than the Italian restaurant on Espanola Way and Washington Ave. But, given the price and the quality of food didn't match up... maybe I should've gone to that other Italian restaurant. The dancing lady was pretty and all, but her tap dancing was kind of irritating after a while. Oh yeah one more thing; for these three entrees and just plain ol' tap water, our bill came to $68. They included an 18% gratuity.

One of the best meals we had on our honeymoon in South Beach. The food is fantastic, but it's the service that makes you want to come back. Our waiter, Flavio made the meal! Next time we're in the area, it will be our first stop!

Ha, ha, ha! This place is a joke. Hubby's imported meat and cheese plate could have been assembled from the Safeway deli counter. Big slab of provolone decorated the middle. Three lonely pitted kalamatas made up the olive portion. Bread was stale. Price tag: $19. Well, we came in here because we were attracted to the music and flamenco dancer. They were great. Also, if you stay away from Margarita mix the drinks are fine. And it's on the waterfront so someone will always come here.

This place is terrible. My food seemed like it had been in the freezer and wasn't even warmed up all the way and we didn't even finish eating the chicken because we didn't want to hey sick. Don't come here

Stopped in for a quick afternoon lunch. Pizza was very good but my beer was flat and that's not. With so many options in this area I'm not sure I'd ever go back. it really was a good pizza though.

My husband and I visiting South Beach for our 2nd anniversary, and we had our anniversary dinner at Mia Bella Roma. The live music and dancing was amazing. We even bought their cd. Our server, Mimmo, went above and beyond to make our dinner perfect. He was friendly, offered suggestions, and made sure we were doing well several times. We had the chicken parm and spaghetti & meatballs, and both were delicious. I'm Italian, and usually don't like eating out at Italian restaurants because nobody can top my family's cooking, but Mia Bella Roma was excellent. My husband wanted cherry grey goose, but they didn't have it. Mimmo suggested he try a regular grey goose with some cherry juice added. He did, and enjoyed it. We had tiramisu and chocolate cake for dessert. Tiramisu is my favorite, and my husband doesn't care too much for it, but even HE ate some of it! It was just that good. The chocolate cake had just the right amount of chocolate, and wasn't heavy. Mimmo also suggested we try limoncello. The way he was able to describe how it was made and the taste of it convinced us to have one to share, and we were glad we did. My husband bought a cigar from one of the girls walking around selling them, and someone brought him an ash tray right away. Mia Bella Roma is the perfect spot for a romantic dinner with your significant other. Our bill came to $110.30 including tax and gratuity for 2 entrees, 2 drinks and 2 desserts, which is very reasonable for the quality of the food and service. If we get the chance to return to South Beach, we will eat here again.

The Pizza on the lunch special menu is pretty good. And the portion is just enough for 2 people. I'd also recommend the sangria.

We sat in the back "garden" area. My husband ordered the special pasta made with tons of seafood. It was huge and delicious. I ordered traditional spaghetti and meatballs, to me the best test of an italian restaurant - out of this world! We shared a great salad and bought an excellent bottle of red. Great experience. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is that the waiter told us the special cost $29.99, but charged us $49.99. We were so grateful to get a decent meal in South Beach (usually not a problem - but this time was) and the portion was so large, that we didn't complain.

We went there for our first time in South Beach and expected a great meal with all restaurants in competition. Since we both wanted lobster and they claimed a lobster special. Well it was about a good 20 minutes before they even brought bread to the table and had given us a menu with no prices, so they could make up their own obviously. We weren't happy with the so called lobster special being only half a lobster and the whole lobster was quoted extremely high. Then a two person seafood platter was quoted for $99 , which he said he could give is 20% off. Since it had a whole lobster on it and lots of other seafood we said okay. Well after a long period of time it finally came out and there was no lobster on it, all the fish tasted like charcoal fuel and the ahi was over cooked so bad we couldn't even take one bite. Them when the bill came with the drinks that were buy 1 get one 1 at $15 a piece and we each had 2. But they only included 2 different drinks. One was so sweet I couldn't even drink it. They had not taken off the 20%. He claimed the original price ( which was never told to us) was $129 for the platter of in edible food. I was furious, with the scam they are running there for the worst food ever. Any crappy food chain would have been better. The only thing that made it tolerable was the entertainment. I will be sure to write this review everywhere possible. Just not right. Don't give them the time of day.

Came in thinking this was the highly rated hosteria romana. Boy were we wrong. The overzealous host pulls us in then the waitress mislead us into selecting a large drink which was more expensive than the actual special and was horrible tasting to boot. Luckily we avoided the food which was previously rated mediocre. Had to leave as we were feeling taken advantage of.

Great stuffed pasta coupled with a good deal on cocktails. Well, my wife is not a huge fan of pasta, and she loves the stuffed pasta at this place. I recommend the Gnocchi or the Ravioli in a rose sauce. The place is a bit overpriced, but the service is excellent, so it was enough for me to go there on my second visit to Miami. The prices are consistent with other Italian restaurants on the Ocean Drive. The 2 for 1 per person drinks special was a nice touch and they don't skimp out on the alcohol in them, so a really good deal, considering that most other places charge 10-15 bucks for 1 and this place is 15 bucks for 2.

they have really good food and decent service but unfortunately that's where it all ends. the prices are too high for the type of food they serve. also, if you only want water to drink be prepared to pay $7 for bottled water. of course, like all other places in SoBe the gratuity is added by default.

Just OK. Overpriced but decent food. Nothing special at all. Blah.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
